With a micrometer check set you can check the accuracy of a
micrometer and vernier calipers for capacities from 0-25mm up to 200mm
capacity.
For reliable and accurate checking a set should conform to requirements
of ISO 3611-2010 (AS2012 amended). Ideally a check set should include 50mm,
75mm and 100mm gauges to allow larger capacity.
A micrometer check set can accurately test the length,
flatness and parallelism of the measuring faces.
With the addition of optical flats, the ¼ turn parallelism
can also be checked.
Check sets ideally should be packed in secure protective
cases.
